Having finished M.B;B.S. from the reputed K.E.M. hospital and Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai, Dr. Mihir Patel finished his residency program in Orthopaedic surgery from the same institution in 2009. He was amongst the university toppers in the M.S. - Orthopaedic examination. He has also succesfully achieved the prestigious Diplomate of National Board [D.N.B.], New Delhi in Orthopaedics. He has also secured the Diplomate in Orthopaedics [D-ortho] from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Mumbai.
Dr. Mihir Patel has extensive training in simple and complex fracture and trauma surgery. He has performed innumerable sugeries for fracture cases with the best results.
He is an accomplished Joint Replacement Surgeon as well. He has performed more than 500 joint replacement surgeries of the HIP, KNEE and SHOULDER. He has attended numerous national and international training programs for mastering the skill of joint replacement, by virtue of which he gives the best results to his patients following joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Mihir Patel has keen interest in Arthroscopic surgery and management of Sports related injuries. He has recently completed an international fellowship from South Korea in Arthroscopy. He has performed more than 1000 arthroscopic surgeries of the knee, shoulder, wrist, ankle and elbow. He is also a visiting Arthroscopic surgeon in many hospitals in Mumbai.
He has performed many Ilizarov surgeries [Russian technique] for treatment of infection of bone and joint and for correction of bone deformities. He is appointed faculty in the Bombay Orthopaedic Society - Ilizarov training course conducted annually.
He is selected as Assisitant Professor [Lecturer] in the Department of Orthopaedics at K. B. Bhabha Municipal General hospital, Bandra, Mumbai where he is actively involved in training orthopaedic residents.
